Testimonials

Thank you for all of the great research that you and your team have produced over the past few years!

My old MSc professors, Graeme Close and James Morton asked me to return to my alma mata LJMU to deliver a lecture on “Food Allergies and Intolerances” this morning. There is obviously a wealth of clinical literature out there but my lecture leant heavily on the research and information that you and your colleagues have produced around gluten, FODMAPs and GIS specific to athletes.

Thank you for highlighting the state of play in these areas and the many unanswered questions that still remain in this unique area!
— James Moran, Senior Performance Nutritionist & Registered Dietitian – British Cycling English Institute of Sport

Dana is instrumental in helping our student-athletes reach the pinnacle of their sport at the college level. Her knowledge in nutrition is astounding and her ability to teach our team how to practically apply it to the daily life of a college athlete going through intense training cycles is incredibly valuable. I have no doubt that some of our best team performances have been heavily facilitated by Dana’s interaction with our runners.
— Emma Peterson, UCDavis Cross Country Head Coach

“Once I started to work with Dana on my nutrition, I saw results immediately. With the strategies she outlined for me, I was able to train harder, recover better and optimize my performances on the bike. I truly believe nutrition can be the difference between finishing on the podium and not finishing the race at all, working with Dana has been a game changer.”
— Alex Cataford, Pro Cyclist with Israel Cycling Academy

“As both a coach and physiologist, I have been lucky enough to work with Dana on several endurance sport projects. The combination of her applied and scientific approach allows her to distill the most cutting-edge nutritional techniques into a language and system that athletes and coaches speak. Her skills in embedding high performance nutritional strategies into athlete YTP’s (training plans) make her a key contributor to achieving peak performance with a varied group of endurance athletes.”
— Paulo Saldanha, Professional Cycling Coach, Owner Powerwatts

“Working with Dr. Lis is a true pleasure, she is the definition of awesome. Dana has a huge wealth of experience working with elite athletes in a wide range of disciplines. I personally chose to work with her not only because she came highly recommend by several Olympians, but due to her current sports nutrition research.  She is well-read and up to-date on the latest research. Dr Lis isn’t only experienced and well read, she brings her endless energy and enthusiasm to everything she does. Highly recommend working with Dr Lis!”

On a personal note, I just have to say that your session at CPSDA really inspired me. I was able to share what I learned about FODMAPs with our team, but above all you presented it in a way that was easy for someone without a background in dietetics to understand and retain. The 2 semesters of physiology I took in college were hands down the toughest courses I ever took, and it deterred me from exploring the subject once I graduated. Understanding how relevant it is to my work with KIND, coupled with how well you were able to explain the effects of FODMAPs on the digestive system, has prompted me to engage in a lot of personal study since the conference. A decade later, I’m finding that what I’m learning is genuinely making sense the second time around. Thank you so much—you genuinely lit a spark.
